We first met Colin when we moved nearby in 1994 and very soon after he became a lifelong friend. Colin was warm, kind, generous and always great company.

He was always involved in our life, be it a chat over the fence when gardening, playing tennis and badminton and laughing at our attempts to beat him, his continuous support and help at our animal rescue charity sales and the many times socially when we enjoyed his company at restaurants, theatres and parties. He especially enjoyed the parties we arranged for his birthdays, where he met our friends and family and naturally they became lifelong friends of Colin.

Colin enjoyed a full and varied life, travelling widely when we first knew him and in recent times we enjoyed holidays with him to New Zealand, North Wales, Lake District and Scotland.

In recent years, after Colin stopped cycling, we sometimes took him to Tesco and we soon realised that shopping would take a lot longer, as he seemed to know most people there and each one wanted to chat a while with him .

Colin loved being with people and they certainly loved Colin
